Sometimes the best moments in life are unplanned! Christine and John, a couple from Florida, decided on a whim (just about a month before their big day) to elope on Cape Cod while visiting their niece in college. Their intimate wedding at The Sagamore Inn in Sandwich, MA, was filled with love, laughter, and a little Cape Cod magic.
The forecast called for rain all day, and it poured my entire drive to the Cape. But as luck would have it, the rain stopped just in time for Christine and John’s ceremony. The overcast light made for gorgeous, vibrant portraits, and the Sagamore Inn’s gardens looked extra lush and romantic.
Christine wore a custom-made gown by Linen the Art, topped with a beautiful silver cape to keep her warm on the chilly Monday afternoon. Her style was the perfect blend of elegance and comfort, ideal for a laid-back Cape Cod elopement.
The Sagamore Inn offered a picturesque and intimate ceremony space, featuring a pond with a fountain, blooming gardens, and plenty of charm. With friends and family watching remotely via livestream from Shiang Studios, Christine and John exchanged heartfelt vows surrounded by natural beauty.
After the ceremony and portraits, the couple snuggled up by the fire and FaceTimed their parents—who were “meeting” for the first time—to share the exciting news! It was a sweet, modern twist on tradition, making their day even more memorable.
The newlyweds capped off their Cape Cod elopement with a romantic dinner at The Sagamore Inn, savoring delicious food and the excitement of their next adventure together.
The Sagamore Inn offers a cozy, picturesque setting for intimate weddings and elopements on Cape Cod. With beautiful gardens, a tranquil pond, and warm hospitality, it’s the perfect backdrop for couples seeking a meaningful, stress-free celebration.
