Hey friends! I wanted to share with you all this amazing rainy day wedding I had the pleasure of photographing last fall at Union Station Banquets in Northampton, MA. Jen and Paul, one of the sweetest couples ever, tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony inside the historic former train station. Despite the rain outside, the atmosphere inside was cozy and romantic, with dimly-lit vintage street lights and elegant decor setting the mood perfectly.
Before the ceremony, we took some formal photos in the lush atrium of the Hotel Northampton. The greenery and natural light made for some stunning shots, and Jen and Paul looked absolutely radiant against the backdrop of the elegant architecture. It was such a joy to capture the love and happiness between these two, and even though it was rainy, I couldn’t have asked for a better day.
As the ceremony began, the sound of raindrops pattering on the roof added an extra layer of charm to the ambiance. Jen walked down the aisle with a glowing smile, and Paul’s eyes lit up the moment he saw her. Their vows were heartfelt and emotional, bringing tears to many eyes in the audience. The justice of the peace, Hannah Grace, was one of the warmest, most loving JPs I have seen so far. Her presence added a special touch to the ceremony, and I highly recommend her for anyone planning a wedding. The historic charm of Union Station Banquets truly shone through, making every moment of the ceremony feel timeless and special.
After the ceremony, the space was transformed into a reception area, where the decor seamlessly blended vintage elegance with modern sophistication. The cozy interior streetlights cast a warm glow over the room, enhancing the intimate atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a delectable meal, danced the night away, and shared in the joy of Jen and Paul’s union. The rain outside only made the inside feel more snug and inviting.
One of the highlights (for me!) of the evening was the sneaking the couple out to take some rainy nighttime photos. They twirled gracefully under the soft lights, their smiles never fading. It was a magical moment that perfectly encapsulated the love and joy of the day. The rain-soaked windows of Union Station Banquets provided a unique and beautiful backdrop for this unforgettable evening.
I am so grateful to have been a part of Jen and Paul’s special day, and I’m thrilled with how the photos turned out. Union Station Banquets provided the perfect backdrop for a romantic wedding, and Hotel Northampton was a dream for capturing those intimate moments between the newlyweds. The combination of these two locations made for a truly memorable Union Station Banquets wedding experience. I love being a MA wedding photographer and getting to document these precious moments for amazing couples like Jen and Paul. Here’s to many more beautiful weddings to come!
